The northern side of the bridge on Zhibek-Zholu Avenue in Bishkek will be put into operation by the end of this week. This was announced by the city mayor’s office.

The opening of traffic had initially been planned earlier, but it was postponed until the weekend due to a sharp drop in temperature and precipitation.

According to the municipality, the 25-meter bridge was significantly widened and reinforced during the reconstruction. After the opening, traffic will be organized along the northern side of the bridge.

The southern side is expected to open by the end of March. Road services are currently continuing reconstruction work on the road surface.
