Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Erlist Akunbekov presented the 2025 results for the development of the real sector at a national meeting on 27 February.

A major focus of the report was transport infrastructure. According to Akunbekov, more than 1,545 km of asphalt concrete pavement was laid in 2025—twice the 2024 level. A total of KGS 43.4 billion was allocated to road infrastructure.

Railway projects also progressed. The Balykchy–Kochkor railway was extended to Kochkor station, with 43 km of key structures completed.

In addition, construction of the 150 km Barskoon–Bedel highway began in August 2025.
