In Bishkek, vehicle traffic was fully restored on January 12, 2026 along Chyngyz Aitmatov Avenue on the section located above the Southern Highway.

Traffic is now open from Masalieva Street (the Southern Highway) to Semetey Street. The section had been closed since January 1, forcing drivers to use detours.

The temporary restrictions were introduced due to the large-scale construction of four new underground pedestrian crossings, which required closing the roadway for excavation and installation work.
